Double Feature: Different Genres

When life becomes a roller coaster ride, sometimes the best way to regain your equilibrium is a double feature with a friend. The latest of my get-away choices was "Morning Glory"followed by "Unstoppable". Both were fabulous movies of completely different genres. "Morning Glory is a comedy starring Harrison Ford and Dianne Keaton. They portray co-hosts of a morning TV show and they hate each other. Rachael McAdams plays the ever-cheerful new executive producer, determined to save the show from being cancelled. I thought this was a cute, funny, and lighthearted chick-flick.
"Unstoppable" was not any of those things. It stars Denzel Washington and Chris Pine as a train engineer and a conductor trying to stop a run-away train. If not stopped in time, this train would derail and explode in a populated city causing a huge catastrophe. It is an edge of your seated thrill ride that does not disappoint.(it is Denzel, after all.)(Chris is not bad either!)
